You’re careful, but accidents can still happen. Add FFI’s drone liability coverage to your general liability policy so you won’t have to face claims like these alone:
- While taking aerial shots for a real estate agent, the wind causes the drone to hit and damage a window — the homeowners hold you responsible for replacing it
- You’re landing your drone after filming, and it hits an extra as they walk by — the actor demands you pay for their stitches
- While filming a video at a city park, your drone clips a topiary tree — the city requires you to pay a property damage fine
- An electrical short mid-flight causes your drone to fall and hit a passing car, leading the car to crash into a curb, and the driver holds you responsible for their injuries and car repairs
- You lose your GPS signal and your drone crashes through someone’s skylight — you’re required to pay for its repair

What Is Drone Liability Insurance & What Does It Cover?
Traditional photographer and videographer liability policies don’t cover accidents involving drones. Drone liability insurance is an endorsement add-on coverage that updates your general liability policy so it can cover incidents involving drones.
Drone liability insurance is designed to act as a financial safety net in the event your aerial drone work causes physical injuries or property damage.
If a client or other party claims your drone/your operation of a drone led to them getting hurt, your drone liability insurance may help pay those medical bills. Similarly, if someone accuses your drone of damaging their property, drone liability insurance may help cover repair costs.
